DAY 4 • ROVANIEMI (HUSKY SAFARI, VISIT TO THE ICE CASTLE & LUNCH IN A TRADITIONAL KOTA)

Prepare yourself for one of the most authentic experiences in Lapland: a visit to a husky farm, where the musher (sled guide) and his friendly pack of dogs will be waiting to welcome you. After the initial instructions, we will set off on a sled ride pulled by these incredible dogs. We will cover approximately 5 km, led by these magnificent animals through the snow-covered boreal forest. It is a unique opportunity to feel the cold wind on your face, hear only the sound of the runners gliding over the snow, and experience the perfect harmony between humans, animals, and the Arctic wilderness.

Back at the farm, we will visit the kennel, where you can interact with the dogs, pet them, and capture the moment with beautiful photos. Afterwards, we will share hot drinks and cookies with the musher, who will tell us interesting facts about the daily life of huskies in Lapland and the traditions of dog sledding in the region.

At the end of this excursion, we will depart by bus to the Arctic Snow Hotel resort. Upon arrival, we will visit the snow and ice hotel, rebuilt every winter, featuring hand-carved rooms, an ice restaurant, an ice bar, and an ice chapel each season comes to life with a unique artistic theme.

We will also enjoy lunch at the resort’s traditional Kota restaurant, a truly magical dining experience. Around a cozy central fire inside a traditional Lapland kota, guests will enjoy a three-course meal, featuring slow-fire roasted salmon prepared right in front of everyone. After lunch, we will return to the hotel in Rovaniemi for overnight accommodation.

With spacious, natural enclosures connected by wooden walkways winding through the forest, Ranua offers an authentic atmosphere.
