EUROPE’S CHARM FROM BOGOTÁ

Departure on an international flight from El Dorado International Airport to board Avianca flight AV 26, departing at 3:10 PM for the city of Madrid. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airline check-in counter at the airport at least 3 hours prior to departure for baggage check-in. Overnight flight.

Arrival at 7:40 AM at Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport. Meet and greet assistance, followed by transfer to the hotel. Accommodation and the remainder of the day at leisure.

At the scheduled time, departure to discover one of Europe’s most vibrant cities. Enjoy a panoramic city tour featuring its main avenues, squares, and iconic landmarks, including Gran Vía, Plaza de Cibeles and City Hall, Puerta de Alcalá, Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, Las Ventas Bullring, and Plaza de Oriente, home to the Royal Palace of Madrid. The remainder of the afternoon will be free to stroll through the city streets, enjoy shopping, or experience the local atmosphere. Accommodation. At the indicated time, departure toward northern Spain, crossing through the Basque Country region. During the journey, we will enjoy a brief panoramic tour of Burgos, a city renowned for preserving its medieval essence. There, we will admire the emblematic Arco de Santa María, one of the ancient city gates decorated with reliefs dedicated to the legendary El Cid. We will also view the majestic Burgos Cathedral, considered the first French Gothic-style cathedral built on the Iberian Peninsula, famous for its impressive ornate bell towers.

Afterward, we will continue toward the French border, traveling through France’s renowned wine region until arriving in Bordeaux, capital of New Aquitaine and one of the country’s most important port cities along the Garonne River. We will begin a brief panoramic tour of Place de la Bourse, home to the famous Miroir d’Eau, a spectacular reflecting pool considered one of the largest in the world. Accommodation.

At the scheduled time, departure toward PARIS with a brief stop in BLOIS, a charming town located on the banks of the Loire River and known for its historic castle. We will have the opportunity to explore its old town, enjoy its lively center, and admire its beautiful, character-filled buildings ideal for walking and sightseeing. In the morning, departure for a panoramic tour of “the City of Love,” exploring some of its most iconic landmarks in PARIS. We will pass through Place de la Concorde, the Palais Garnier, and other sites of great architectural value such as the Panthéon, the Luxembourg Gardens, and the Les Invalides. We will continue to the Champ de Mars, where we will stop to take photos of the Eiffel Tower. The visit will conclude at the Fragonard Perfume Museum, where we will discover the secrets of ancient essences, one of France’s great prides. Accommodation. At the agreed time, departure toward the Swiss border, with several scenic stops at viewpoints to admire the natural beauty of its mountains and valleys. Arrival in ZURICH, located in the heart of Europe, a modern city that perfectly combines urban development with its natural surroundings. It has long been recognized as one of the cities with the highest quality of life in the world. Free time in the historic center and along the lakeshore, where you can enjoy its pleasant atmosphere. At the scheduled time, departure to the canton of Lucerne, where the imposing Mount Titlis is located, with its peak of eternal snow. There will be free time for personal activities or the option to take the optional excursion “Mount Titlis.” Afterwards, the journey continues toward VENICE. Accommodation.

Today we will be amazed by the city of 118 islands, connected by more than 400 bridges and canals, making it a unique and exclusive destination, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During the visit, we will explore the Bridge of Sighs and St. Mark’s Square, where its incomparable surroundings stand out, along with the majestic St. Mark’s Basilica, a true jewel of Byzantine architecture. In the morning, we will enjoy a panoramic tour to discover the monuments that have made ROME the Eternal City, including the Colosseum, the Arch of Constantine, the Circus Maximus, as well as the basilicas of Santa Maria Maggiore and Archbasilica of Saint John Lateran.

We will also travel along its avenues, home to some of the oldest churches and palaces in the world, concluding the tour in the Vatican City. Departure to the city of FLORENCE, located in central Italy and the capital of the Tuscany region. We will enjoy a walking tour of this extraordinary city, where art appears in every corner. We will pass through Piazza San Marco, continue in front of the Galleria dell’Accademia, and reach the Straw Market (Mercato della Paglia). We will admire the marble façade of the Florence Cathedral (Santa Maria del Fiore) and its iconic bell tower, as well as the Baptistery with its famous “Gates of Paradise.” We will also take in views of the famous Ponte Vecchio and end the tour at Basilica of Santa Croce, home to the Franciscan church of the same name. At the scheduled time, departure toward the charming city of PISA, world-renowned for its iconic Leaning Tower, part of the monumental complex that includes the Cathedral and Baptistery. Located on the banks of the Arno River, Pisa also stands out for its valuable medieval architectural heritage, including the Piazza dei Miracoli, the monumental Camposanto Monumentale, the Piazza del Duomo, and its picturesque bridges crossing the river. At the indicated time, departure toward Spain, crossing the regions of Provence, the Alps, the French Riviera, and Occitanie, until reaching BARCELONA, the cosmopolitan capital of Catalonia, world-renowned for its art and architecture. We will enjoy a brief panoramic tour of the city to discover the Sagrada Família, the masterpiece of Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí, whose architectural ensemble has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as other outstanding attractions in Barcelona. At the indicated time, departure toward ZARAGOZA, where we will make a brief stop to admire the oldest Marian shrine in Christendom: the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar, located in the iconic square of the same name. Afterwards, we continue the journey to MADRID. Accommodation.

Check-out from the room at 12:00 PM and, at the indicated time, transfer to the airport to board Avianca flight AV 11, departing at 5:30 PM, bound for BOGOTÁ, with an estimated arrival time around 8:59 PM.
