Upon arrival at Bangkok airport, you will be greeted by your Spanish-speaking guide and transferred to the hotel. You will have free time until check-in, which is subject to availability (generally, rooms are available from 3:00 PM). Accommodation provided.

We will begin the tour of three of the most unique Buddhist temples in Bangkok. The first stop will be at Wat Traimit, located at the edge of Chinatown, near Hualampong train station. This temple houses the world’s largest solid gold Buddha, which stands nearly five meters tall and weighs 5.5 tons. Next, we’ll head to Wat Pho, the largest temple in the city, famous for its gigantic reclining Buddha, 46 meters long and covered in gold, as well as the Chedis of the Kings. The tour will continue with a visit to the Grand Palace, Bangkok's most iconic monument. Built in 1782, it was the royal residence and administrative headquarters for more than 150 years. Inside, you'll find Wat Phra Kaew, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, which houses Thailand’s most sacred Buddha image, carved from a single block of jade. The afternoon will be free for you to enjoy at your leisure. Overnight stay.

At the designated time, transfer to the airport for the flight to Chiang Rai, arriving before 10:00 AM. Upon arrival, we will head to Chui Fong, a beautiful tea plantation located on the slopes of small hills, where you can enjoy treats like tea ice cream and tea cake (at your own expense), as well as lunch at a nearby local restaurant. After this visit, we will continue to the Opium House Museum before heading to the Mae Chan district, located north of Chiang Rai. From there, we will start a walk through narrow hill streets to reach the villages of the Akha and Yao ethnic minorities. To end the day, we will visit a Karen village, originally from Tibet, whose members emigrated to Thailand from Myanmar centuries ago due to political conflicts and persecution. The women of the tribe, known as the "giraffe women" for the brass rings that adorn their necks, provide a striking image. Dinner at the hotel and overnight accommodation.

In the morning, we will head to the pier to take a 'longtail' boat that will take us along the Kok River, where we will explore the Karen villages and other mountain communities. We will sail through small villages, bamboo huts, and dense jungle before returning to the pier. We will continue our journey by visiting Wat Rong Suea Tean, known as the Blue Temple, famous for its vibrant color and intricate sculptures. Next, we will visit the iconic Wat Rong Khun, the White Temple, renowned for its unique design and stunning architecture. Afterward, we will embark on a road trip to Chiang Mai, which will take approximately three hours. Upon arrival, we will enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will visit the majestic Wat Doi Suthep, a temple located 1,000 meters above sea level on a forested mountain. To reach the top, you must climb 306 steps guarded by Naga serpents, but the panoramic view of the city and the impressive images and frescoes adorning the temple will make it all worthwhile. After the visit, we will head to the hotel for check-in. Dinner at the hotel and overnight stay.

In the morning, we will visit several local craft factories, where we can observe the production process and local craftsmanship. We will then head to Mae Sa Valley, making a stop at the orchid farm, a fascinating place to explore the variety of these flowers. Next, we will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before heading to the elephant sanctuary. There, we will learn about the care and conservation of these majestic animals, participating in activities like feeding and bathing them, promising a unique and unforgettable experience. In the evening, we will indulge in a traditional Khantoke dinner, typical of northern Thailand. Sitting on traditional Mon Sam Lieung cushions, we will enjoy a meal served on low tables while watching a series of cultural dances from the north, including the Fingernail Dance (Fon Lep), Sword Dance (Ram Dab), Candle Dance (Fon Thian), and Circle Dance (Ram Wong). Additionally, we will have the privilege of witnessing a special performance by members of various mountain tribes, such as the Yao, Lahu, Meo, Lisu, and Karen. Return transfer and overnight accommodation.

CHILD POLICY

  • Infants (under 1.99 years old): Only pay airline taxes. The exact amount is confirmed at the time of ticket issuance. However, if the infant requires a special seat or any additional equipment for the vehicle, please inform us at the time of booking so we can accommodate these needs.
  • Children (ages 2 to 12): Children in this age group pay the child fare.
  • Children (age 13 and older): Children in this age group pay the adult fare.
  • Room occupancy: The maximum number of children per room sharing with parents is subject to each hotel’s policies.
  • Documentation: All minors must travel with one of their parents or legal guardians. At check-in, they must present a valid ID, passport, or birth certificate.

VISAS AND DOCUMENTATION

  • To enter Thailand, an International Certificate of Vaccination against Yellow Fever is required if arriving from or having traveled through an endemic area within the last 10 days.
  • Passengers arriving within 10 days after departing from or transiting through countries with a risk of yellow fever transmission who do not have a vaccination certificate may be subject to vaccination upon arrival (approximate cost: USD 25).
  • Passengers and crew with a valid vaccination certificate must register and complete the T8 health declaration form online at https://thaihealthpass.com/
  • Passengers must complete a Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) within 3 days prior to arrival and present the email confirmation upon entry.
  • Passengers must demonstrate sufficient financial means upon arrival, at least 20,000 baht (approx. USD 614.56) per person or 40,000 baht (approx. USD 1,228.97) per family.
  • Passengers must complete an online health declaration form (T.8) for yellow fever prior to travel at https://thaihealthpass.com/
