At the scheduled time, we will begin our City Tour to discover the most iconic sites of Salta, combining history, culture, architecture, and unique landscapes. We will start at the Salta Cathedral, built in 1855, where the remains of independence hero General Martín Miguel de Güemes rest. Very close by, we will visit the Centro Cultural de las Américas, a space dedicated to art and regional identity, featuring exhibitions and workshops for the whole family. Next, we will go to the Museo Histórico del Norte, located in the old Cabildo, which will allow us to learn about the city’s history, traditions, and daily life in past eras. We will continue admiring the San Francisco Minor Basilica and the San Bernardo Convent, architectural gems that reflect Salta’s spirituality and history. We will make a stop at the Monument to Güemes, a symbol of courage and independence, before ascending Cerro San Bernardo, where we will enjoy an impressive panoramic view of the city and its surroundings. On the way down, we will make a brief stop at the Monument of February 20th, site of the historic Battle of Salta. Finally, we will arrive at the summer village of San Lorenzo, famous for its microclimate and green spaces, where we will visit the Artisan Market to appreciate and purchase typical regional products. Departure from Salta at the scheduled time to begin the excursion to Cafayate and the Quebrada de las Conchas. The journey heads south along National Route 68, passing through agricultural valleys and small towns that preserve the essence and traditions of northern Argentina. Along the way, you will travel through the spectacular Quebrada de las Conchas, a natural formation of remarkable beauty where wind and water have sculpted striking shapes in the reddish mountains. During the tour, stops will be made at some of its most iconic viewpoints, perfect for photographs, such as El Anfiteatro, Garganta del Diablo, El Sapo, and Los Castillos. Arrival in Cafayate, recognized as one of the main wine-producing centers in northern Argentina. There, you will visit a local winery to learn about the wine-making process and take part in a tasting of some of its most representative varieties, including the renowned Torrontés, the region’s signature grape. Afterward, you will have free time. In the afternoon, the return journey to the city of Salta begins along the same route. Accommodation.
