At the designated time, we will head to Monserrate Hill, where we will take the funicular or cable car to the top to enjoy an impressive panoramic view of the city. Next, we will continue our visit to the Gold Museum, which houses the world's most extensive collection of pre-Hispanic goldwork. We will conclude the tour with a walking tour of Bogotá's Historic Center, exploring major architectural, historical, and cultural attractions such as the Colón Theater, the San Carlos Palace, Bolívar Square, and the Primada Cathedral of Colombia.

Notes:

  • On Mondays, the Gold Museum is closed and will be replaced by the Botero Museum.
  • On Sundays and holidays, there is an increase in national visitors, so it is recommended to purchase the Fast Pass supplement for ascending Monserrate (payment at the destination in Colombian pesos).
DAY 3 • BOGOTÁ

At the designated time, from the meeting point, we will depart for Zipaquirá, located 49 km north of Bogotá, to visit the iconic Salt Cathedral. During the journey, we will enjoy panoramic views of the Bogotá Savannah. The Salt Cathedral is recognized as one of Colombia's most notable architectural and artistic achievements. Built inside a mine at a depth of 180 meters, its interior features a Stations of the Cross, a Dome, a Choir, and the Narthex Complex. Its heritage, cultural, and religious value is immeasurable. Additionally, it is considered Colombia’s first tourist wonder and was a candidate for one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. After the visit, we will return to Bogotá.

At the scheduled time, transfer to El Dorado Airport for your flight to Medellín. Upon arrival at José María Córdova International Airport, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel in Medellín. Accommodation.

At the scheduled time, we will begin our journey to the iconic Comuna 13, an area that, after once being one of the most notorious centers of violence in the world, has been reborn as a model of resilience and social transformation through art and innovation. Once in Comuna 13, a local guide will lead you through its main streets, where you can admire vibrant graffiti, ride the modern outdoor escalators, and enjoy a local snack.

The tour continues through Medellín’s most emblematic sites, a city also known as the “City of Eternal Spring.” Visit Pueblito Paisa, a charming replica of a traditional Antioquian town, and the Barefoot Park (Parque de los Pies Descalzos), an ideal place to relax outdoors. Connect with the city’s administrative center at La Alpujarra and finish at Parque Berrío, home to the iconic Sculpture Plaza by Master Fernando Botero, an unmistakable symbol of Medellín. Return to the hotel.

DAY 6 • MEDELLÍN

At the indicated time, departure from the meeting point toward the impressive El Peñol Rock, located 75 km from Medellín. This majestic rock formation rises 220 meters above a reservoir that is crucial for the country’s energy generation. Adventurous travelers may choose to climb the 702 steps leading to the top, where a panoramic view of the towns of Guatapé and El Peñol awaits (admission not included).

Next, we will enjoy a traditional boat ride to take in the reservoir’s scenery and learn about its history. Afterward, we will head to a local restaurant to savor a typical lunch. Then, we will explore the picturesque town of Guatapé, famous for its houses decorated with colorful zócalos (bas-relief panels) and the iconic Plazoleta de los Zócalos. Return to Medellín.

Meeting point: Subject to the day’s schedule; please arrive at 7:00 a.m. at Parque El Poblado, Carrera 43A and Calle 9.

HOTELS

  • The hotels mentioned are for reference only and are the most commonly used for this type of tour. However, while services are guaranteed, please note that confirmed hotels may be different but of the same category.
  • Double rooms: Confirmed with one double bed. If you prefer two single beds, please make the request in advance, as it is subject to hotel availability and may result in price differences.
  • Triple rooms: An additional rollaway bed will be provided alongside the double bed. The availability of this extra bed is subject to confirmation by the hotel at the time of booking. If you prefer three separate beds, please note that this request is subject to hotel policies and may result in changes to the room category and pricing.
  • Services such as cribs or bed types (Twin, King, Queen) are subject to availability at the time of booking.
  • Check-in starts at 3:30 PM, and check-out must be completed before 12:00 PM.

ITINERARY

  • Transfers are available between 6:00 AM and 8:59 PM. Outside of these hours, an additional charge will apply.
  • If additional nights are required, transfers are not included in the package and may be arranged at an extra cost.
  • The contracted transportation allows one piece of luggage up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and one carry-on bag up to 8 kg (17 lbs) per person. In case of excess luggage, the possibility of including it at no additional cost will be evaluated, subject to vehicle capacity. We recommend not leaving valuables in the vehicle.
  • The operator is NOT responsible for any loss, damage, or theft of valuable items.
  • The itinerary is subject to change due to weather conditions, road conditions, operational issues, availability, or unforeseen events at the time of booking.
  • The order of activities may vary; however, all included services will be honored.
  • Regular or shared services: Some services are provided on a shared basis with other passengers. Transportation, guided tours, and excursions are conducted in groups, so schedules and routes may be adjusted for proper coordination.
  • Travel documents: Once full payment has been confirmed, final travel documents will be sent approximately 6 days prior to departure.

TOURS AND EXCURSIONS

  • The guide or local operator may adjust the order of visits for logistical, operational, or weather-related reasons, always respecting the contracted services.
  • If any activity cannot be carried out due to force majeure, the corresponding refund will be processed only for the service not provided, when applicable.
  • We are not responsible for tourism services booked directly by the passenger with external providers.

CHILD POLICY

  • Infants (under 2 years old): Only pay airfare taxes. The exact amount will be confirmed at the time of ticket issuance. However, if the infant requires a special seat or any equipment for the vehicle, please inform us at the time of booking so we can accommodate these needs.
  • Children (ages 2 to 10): Pay the child rate.
  • Children (11 years and older): Pay the adult rate.
  • Room occupancy: The maximum number of children per room sharing with parents is subject to each hotel’s policies.
  • Documentation: All minors must travel with one of their parents or legal guardians. At check-in, they must present a valid ID, passport, or birth certificate.

VISAS AND DOCUMENTATION

  • It is essential to have a valid passport with at least 6 months of validity at the time of travel. To confirm the reservation, a copy of the passport must be sent; if you do not yet have one, you may send a copy of an official identification document where the passenger’s name is correctly shown.
  • It is the passenger’s responsibility to verify, based on their nationality and country of residence, whether a visa or other documents are required to enter the travel destinations, and to ensure all documentation is valid at the time of travel.

PAYMENTS AND DEPOSITS

  • Payments made to confirm the reservation are non-refundable, unless otherwise stated in writing under the specific conditions of the provider.
  • Service confirmation is subject to timely payment according to the dates established in the quotation.
  • The initial deposit must be 10% of the total package price plus the full cost of the airline ticket.
  • 45 days before the departure date, 100% of the total package must be paid.
